Rohit Bal's spectacular Grand Finale show brought the curtains down for the Summer/Resort 2016 edition of India's biggest fashion extravaganza – Lakmé Fashion Week. Mumbai's iconic landmark - St. Xaviers College served as a befitting venue for the spectacular show and all its grandeur. Rohit's collection inspired by 'Illuminate'- the Lakmé beauty statement for the season, featured the glamorous diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan as the showstopper.

The high priest of Indian fashion, Rohit's interpretation of 'Illuminate' was a presentation of his fabulous craftsmanship, eye for detail and par excellence design aesthetics. The sartorial masterpieces made with meticulous detailing and attention reflected his love for the colours - ivory and subtle gold. The finale saw a grand showcase of haute couture designs that were contemporary yet rooted in Indian heritage and aspired to accentuate every Indian woman's radiance. Infused with floral motifs, the collection was high on glamour and ideal for the Indian red carpet.

The Illuminate theme beautifully translated into the décor of the show with mannequins adorned with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, stunning lighting effects and the breath-taking location. The 3D mapping effects projected on the beautiful heritage structure of St. Xaviers College highlighted Rohit's quintessential creativity and ingenuity, and also mirrored the resplendent glow of the Illuminate range. Rohit's understated collection provided the perfect balance to the illuminated setting and left the viewers dazzled and mesmerized.
