In a first for Bollywood, actress and fashion queen Sonam Kapoor has launched her personal app to reach out to her fans. Kapoor commands a huge following for her fashion choices and the app's success could indicate whether India will follow the global trend of apps changing the way celebrities interact with fans.
Sonam Kapoor follows in footsteps of international celebs like Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift by launching an app that's all about her.
The app has a section for live-streaming and chats with Kapoor, and the actress has been regularly uploading short videos since the launch as well. There's a common page for fans to post pictures and comments, which seems to be a success already. The app's clean design also makes it easy to use.
The app is called, unsurprisingly, 'Sonam Kapoor' and is a one-stopshop for everything Sonam - from her fashion to fitness, nutrition, beauty secrets and behind-thescenes footage of her movies. The app has been developed by Disciple media and is available at Google Play & iTunes App Store. At the launch, the actress cut a pretty figure in a strapless summer gown by Dolce & Gabbana.
