MahaRERA Chairman to inaugurate CII Real Estate Confluence tomorrow

Emerging economies today are attractive housing markets considering that the rate of urbanization exceeds the economic growth. This rapid transformation and incessant rise in population of cities of Indian is posing high pressure on the resources, civic amenities and most importantly there is a major imbalance between the demand and supply of housing options. Affordable housing today is an integral part of the national agenda with maximum significance in the urban areas. The total supply of affordable housing across the top 7 cities in India during the last six years is estimated to be 7.65 lakh units which account for nearly 38% of the total supply of residential units.   

 

The Confederation of Indian Industry (WR) is organising the Premiere Edition of the Real Estate Confluence 2019 in Mumbai. The theme of the summit in financial capital of India in Mumbai, will be "Maharashtra Real Estate: Ahead of the Curve, Refine, Reboot Re-emerge".

 

Mr Gautam Chatterjee, the Chairman of Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Maha RERA) will be delivering the inaugural address at the Conclave while Mr Abhishek Lodha, who is the Managing Director and also the Chief Executive Officer of Lodha Developers Ltd and Mr Neel Raheja, the Co-Chairman, CII National Committee on Real Estate & Housing Group President for K Raheja Corp, will be delivering the keynote addresses at the summit. The Summit will be chaired by Mr Anuj Puri, the Chairman, ANAROCK Property Consultants Pvt Ltd.

 

The real estate sector bears a major impact on the economic growth of any country. In India as well, this sector is of tremendous significance with massive investments coming into the sector. However, the sector is battling several issues & challenges, in the regulatory segment and the Funding perspective. The panel discussions at CII Real Estate Confluence 2019 aim to address two such important issues for the real estate sector namely on Mainstreaming Affordable Housing in India: Countering the Encounters and Life post-Shadow Banking Crisis: The Road Ahead for Real Estate Sector.
